Busch Gardens Tampa is known for its thrills and screams but they have the cutest family friendly halloween event! Spooktacular is back this year and is bigger and better than before. Last year was our first time going and we loved every moment. We even got into the theme of the park and dressed as animal keepers with our very own little cheetah. This year we were excited to return and decided to pay homage to some of the amazing people who work at Busch Gardens. We decided to rock our our personal Busch Gardens Costumes and they were a hit!
Spooktacular takes place in the festival walkway area of the park from noon to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays through Oct. 29 as well as Monday, Oct. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Here are three reasons why you do not want to miss it this year.
Spooky Kooky Science!
All new this year is a fun experience with Professor Pufflemintz. She is a professor of science here in Kandy's world and is showing kids some fun and unpredictable experiments. The kids really were into it plus I loved the educational component.
2. Trick or Treating!
Trick or treating is back and as always kid's love candy. There are six treat stations throughout the pavillion and spread for your enjoyment. Kids are allowed to visit more than once and I recommend it to help them get their treats. It's important to note that they must purchase or be using a reusable treat bag that is purchased from Busch Gardens. These are sold inside and $4.99.
3. Fun Photo Ops!
Inside is a great way to commemorate the fun with photo opportunities. There is a fun new pumpkin patch maze that features a fun giant pumpkin photo op. You will also find cool backdrops, goblets and more for your halloween family enjoyment.
Make it a point to check out storytime with Kandy where she reads the amazing story Room on the broom. Plus if you dress your kids up they can participate in the Spooktacular Costume Parade done multiple times throughout the day.
Admission to Spooktacular is included with normal park admission. This is a great bonus for families as some other halloween events do have additional cost. If you need a great family friendly halloween activity be sure to check out Spooktacular at Busch Gardens Tampa!
Until our next expedition....
