Christmas Town: Busch Gardens Tampa

Come

The holidays have kicked off strong in Florida. One of the best holiday season events is Christmas Town at Busch Gardens Tampa! Christmas town has consistently been voted one of the best events in the country and will leave your holiday loving spirits happy.

Christmas Town is happening now until January 9th, 2023 which leaves plenty of time for you to enjoy. After attending for just one night it is definitely my recommendation to try to go at least twice to enjoy everything.

Tip #1: Get the Food and Beverage Sampler Lanyard.

Throughout Christmas Town Village and booths throughout the park you can enjoy holiday menus. You can pay for items individually but it comes off as more bang for your buck by purchasing a sampler lanyard.

The food options range from savory to sweet. We really enjoyed the hot cocoa, warm cookies, and some other food options. Each item is worth one punch on your lanyard so as you start to do the math you realize just how much you are getting

Tip # 2: Enjoy the entertainment

Throughout the park there are several shows that make the experience so fun. Show seating is first come first serve so I suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early. Many offerings are spread throughout the park, I suggest planning ahead of time to visit your must-do's first!

Christmas on Ice is an amazing ice skating show that is a fan favorite. Storytime with Mrs. Clause is the cutest kid friendly show to get your littles in the holiday spirit. We cannot forget Holidays in the Sky which is a fireworks show that happens every Saturday and select nights of the event. You can watch the fireworks from Festival Field which even features a fountain display or throughout the park as they are set off in the center of the theme park. There are several other entertainment options with showtimes spread throughout the evening.

Tip #3: Get into the Holiday Spirit with fun character meet and greets

Not only are there fun holiday characters roaming such as the sugar plum fairy, ballerinas, and the ice queen herself but some classic favorites too.

The Santa Clause Experience was hands down amazing. You are greeted by one of Santa's elves and escorted through beginning to end but the decor inside will have you feeling as if you are really in the North Pole. They have their photographers on site for photos if you needed. It is personable and a non rushed moment your kids will love. I suggest visiting here later in the evening or right when it opens as the line will be shorter.

We cannot forget Rudolph, Clarice and Bumble. These characters begin meeting in Pantopia at 5pm. I suggest arriving here early as their wait can be longer but it is a character interaction you cannot miss.

Finally do not forget to take a trip on the Holly Jolly Express. This fun holiday spirited train ride will take you around the park as classic holiday music plays. The train is decked out for the holidays and will leave your hearts merry and full of joy. This was a true highlight of our night as we snuggled up and enjoyed the views.

Christmas Town does not cost anything additional to a normal park admission, fun card or Annual Pass. If you are a Florida resident I would suggest a fun card or annual pass so you can experience Christmas Town and the other amazing events Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has to offer. It is one of the best theme parks and their events are 10/10 for EVERYONE!

Until our next expedition.....
