The Holidays have arrived to Downtown Orlando

Christmas is for sure one of my favorite times of year. The lights, the meaning, the true ambiance make it one of my favorite holidays. Downtown Orlando is a staple when it comes to Central Florida. With so much to offer residents and the surrounding area it truly is the city beautiful.

We attended the official tree lighting ceremony and left in the best holiday spirit. We started the night walking the gorgeous Lake Eola. It has been dubbed "Eola Wonderland" around the lake is gorgeous holiday sculptures that truly make the area dazzle. Each one representing some of the symbols we know about Christmas time.

The lighting of the tree was amazing. It was so fun to be there for the official lighting.. The tree gives me Osborne Lights feelings from the Disney's Hollywood Studios. The lights synced with music to some true holiday classic hits had us all singing along. This year the tree syncs with the fountain in the middle of Lake Eola so it made for a great show.

On top of the Christmas Tree Show, you can catch some fun Christmas flicks on the East Lawn of Lake Eola. The dates and times are listed below

-December 4th- Elf

-December 10th- Polar Express

-December 17th- The Santa Clause

All films are shown at 7pm so grab a blanket and go!

The holidays is a time for family. The Christmas Tree Show will run every evening from 5:45PM-9:45PM and is free to the public. There are several parking garages around and areas to eat. Just a ten minute walk is a new favorite spot of ours Loading Zone Philly Steaks! The best part about this entire thing is everything is free for you to check out So make it a date and check out this fun holiday offering in Downtown Orlando.

Catch you on our next expedition.....
