The good times are definitely rolling at Busch Gardens Tampa because Mardi Gras is here! Busch Gardens is known for offering a wide range of attractions and events throughout the year such as this one. One of the most popular events at the park is the annual Mardi Gras celebration, which takes place every year during the springtime.
This is a family-friendly event that features colorful parades, live music, and delicious food Guests can enjoy traditional New Orleans-style cuisine such as jambalaya, beignets, and po' boys, while listening to live music from jazz and blues bands. The jambalaya is a fan favorite, along with the hurricane drink and the beignets that were sold out during our visit. This lets me know they must be pretty amazing!
I enjoyed the hurricane cupcake which was a strawberry cupcake with lemon filling topped with sweet buttercream icing. It was just the sweet kick needed and my kids of course devoured it. I always suggest getting the Food & Beverage Tasting Lanyard to get the most of the offering. They come in 5, 10, and 12 sampler options and start at $45. When comparing to the prices at each booth these are perfect to allow you to try your favorites drinks and eats.
The highlight of the Busch Gardens Tampa Mardi Gras celebration is the parade, which features performers in vibrant costumes, and plenty of beads. This is a must-do at this event and offered multiple times throughout the day. Kids truly enjoy this moment and parents too. I love that with this event it's located in one centralized area and not throughout the park. It allows for once things are done you can enjoy the rest of the aprk or eat, explore then go back for more.
Mardi Gras at Busch Gardens Tampa will be going on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through March 3rd. The event booths at activities start at noon until close. It is included with park admission so if you are an Annual Pass Member or Fun Card holder you can enjoy this all season. Day Guest have no worries as their entrance fee includes admission to the good times. Whether you're a longtime fan of Mardi Gras or just looking for a fun and festive way to spend an afternoon, the Busch Gardens Tampa Mardi Gras celebration is not to be missed.
