Mardi Gras has arrived to FLORIDA! That is Tampa, Florida thanks to Busch Gardens Tampa. The good times are rolling as they bring the taste, sounds and fun of the Big Easy to the Sunshine state. Here are some must do's on your visit.
1. Grab a Mardi Gras Sampler Lanyard!
These start at $40 for a 5 sample lanyard and are completely worth the price. With the lanyard it makes it easy to not pull your wallet out there is just scan and punch. Each punch allows you to obtain a item from one of the seven booths. At the booths you will find tasty food options like, Crawfish, Etouffee, Jambalaya, Beignets and more! My favorites were the Jambalaya and the Throw Some Beads Punch!
2. Check Out the Mardi Gras Parade
It really puts you into the spirit with a fun and exciting parade. It features stilt walkers, musicians and a great time. The parade happens three times a day 12:30, 2:30 and 4:30 which allows you multiple opportunities to get in on the fun. Not too far you will find the Bead Balcony because there is no Mardi Gras without beads. Celebrate the fun, catch some beads and live in the moment.
3. Grab a Drink at the Springs Taproom
Springs Taproom is Busch Gardens Tampa newest full-service bar and lounge. It is conveniently on the path of the Mardi Gras event. You can sit down inside our grab a drink to go. The Hot Honey Margarita is a favorite and seems to be a popular choice in this new location. If a cocktail is not your thing do not worry they also carry craft beer and speciality mocktails. There is AC inside and plenty of seating so this makes for a great location to recoup before heading back into the park for some fun.
Mardi Gras at Busch Gardens Tampa is happening every Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at noon until March 5th! Don't miss out on an amazing event because it will for sure leave you wanting more.
