Experience the Fun and Adventure at the Peppa Pig Theme Park: A Perfect Family Getaway

Updated: Jan 9

When Ari turned two years old the Peppa Pig obsession started. From her watching episodes every day to speaking with an english accent I remember thinking what is happening. Fast forward to 2022 and we have the world's first Peppa Pig Theme Park right here in our state!

Peppa Pig Theme Park is located in Winter Haven, FL. From the Orlando area it can be about a hour drive and a great getaway. It is on the same property of Legoland Florida which we have been to time and time again. When we first saw construction signs she was excited and I remember saying we have to check this out. Well we officially got to head to the park and boy was it simply the cutest.

It is a smaller theme park which I enjoyed. Everything is closer together making it so I only needed a stroller for Mia. Ari was having so much fun in all the interactive fun play spots that she simply forgot the need to want to sit. The Fun Fair area has a few rides but there are also fair style games that make the experience feel like you are truly at the fun fair. The Cinema is an indoor area where you can cool off and watch episodes of our favorite pig family. The cinema has AC so it was a nice break from the heat.

In Mr. Potato's Showtime Area you find the area for your daily shows and meet and greets. The show is run about 4-5 times a day with character meet and greets staggered in between show times. The area is covered and has several big bean bags to relax on. Another highlight we enjoyed was Granny Pigs Garden. This play area comes equipped with a George's Fort, rockers, Grandpa Pig's Greenhouse play area, Rebecca Rabbits Playground and Madame Gazelles Nature Trail. The area was nice because as you walk through the characters are talking and explaining the nature side of things to little ones. I feel like we spent the most time here next to the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad. The Splash Pad of course was a hit.. whose child does not like water.

Here is why you need to visit Peppa Pig Theme Park:

  1. If you have a Peppa Pig loving little one the theming is spot on. I found myself throughout the entire visit saying "This is just so cute"

  2. The price is right! For a one day ticket it is $34.99 plus tax. We went on a weekend and easily spent the whole day here.

  3. This is not just another theme park. I truly enjoy that it was not super ride heavy. Things are spread out and challenge kids to really have fun. There is not a bunch of 3D screens or super long wait times. The longest we waited for an attraction all day was 30 minutes.

  4. If your child has sensory issues or autism there are signs at each attraction which help you understand the levels it could affect them. I saw so many parents using this and truly found this to be a great quality of the park.

Here are a few of my tips when going:

  1. Definitely bring your sunscreen and bathing suits. The Muddy Puddles Splash Pad was where we were 2 hours of the day. It is fun for kids of all ages especially in the FL heat.

  2. Pack snacks! There is one diner and a snack cart. During the weekend the lines were longer which made for waiting. We had snacks and found this to be great way to avoid that.

  3. If you are their on your first visit or celebrating a birthday stop in Guest Services to pick up a birthday button. You can also find maps inside if needed.

I do find this park to be geared towards children up to maybe 6 years old. It may depend on your child at heart but preschoolers seem to love it. My girl is going to Kindergarten and she had a blast. I can see her enjoying it for a couple more years but we of course have Mia. Overall our experience at Peppa Pig Theme Park was fun for us! My girl is still talking about it and asking when we can go back. Her face was bright the whole visit and as a family we enjoyed the time together.

Until our next expedition....
