Why you need to visit the Kennedy Space Center in 2021!

I have never in my life been to the Kennedy Space Center. I am now questioning myself as to why!

The Kennedy Space Center is located in Merritt Island, FL. It is about a hour and twenty minute drive from Orlando. The drive was not bad at all and easy.

Ari and I was invited to the Kennedy Space Center to check out their new interactive kid play area called Planet Play. Planet Play will be opening to the public January 1st, 2021 and is the perfect way to start the year.

Planet play will be included in the price of admission of your ticket into KSC. Tickets are $57 for adults and $47 for ages 3-11 years old. There is a parking fee as well. You can get all the details here.

So what exactly will you find in Planet Play? It is a multi-level experience geared towards kids ages 2-12 years old.

You will find two slides and a multitude of activities plus a toddler play area. There are three levels with each housing different planets and experiences. From the Sun to Saturn each area brings something unique.

Planet Play will have limited capacity to help with social distancing. Guest 2 and under are not required to wear a mask while others will need to wear one while inside. During our visit everything was great and sanitizers were stationed throughout the area.

The replicas inside from the Sun to Nasa capsules make for fun experiences for kids of all ages. If you have an explorer they will enjoy going planet to planet encountering new experiences along the way.

There is even an area where you can create your own design using crayons and worksheets provided. Once you are finished your design a system scans it and your creation appears on the big screen to see in real life. My little Picasso really enjoyed this activity.

Other note areas is there will be a place for parents to relax and grab drinks inside. There are several smaller seating areas to relax while your kids place. Charging ports are scattered throughout these areas as well. You will need this as Planet Play is easily an area you can spend hours in.

There is also a toddler kid area where ages 0-2 can play and not worry about the older kids toppling them. This area is smaller but I believe its a great area for little tikes of that age.

There is no doubt that Planet Play will be an amazing addition to the Kennedy Space Center and all the families with young children. Be sure to add a trip to your list for the new year, We promise you will not be disappointed.

Until our next expedition.....
