"Island H2O Live Waterpark: The Ultimate Splash Experience?"

Updated: Feb 1

Waterpark season is here and Island H20 Waterpark was voted as one of the best in America! We recently were invited to come and enjoy the day at the park and we were not disappointed. Island H20 is located in Kissimmee, FL near the Margaritaville Resort off 192. It's about 15 minutes from Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme park and close to other local attractions.

This park has some amazing features that allow for a fun and immersive experience. Let's jump into things that I loved about this Waterpark.

Island H20 has not one but two kids zones. This means even more fun for kiddos to take a splash. There is Pelicans Paradise which is geared towards your older kids. This features a giant tipping bucket plus a multi level structure. There is also Candy Stripe Cove that is perfect for younger kids I would say 6 and under. There are multiple smaller slides, interactive play areas and lower water levels. I was extremely impressed by the amount of lifeguard presence in both kids areas.

Live Lagoon is the parks wave pool and it does not disappoint. Children under 48 inches tall must wear a life vest but that does not stop the fun. Waves are sent out periodically making you not want to leave the pool. Island H20 features several water slides including body slides. They have a few family raft style attractions that are fun for all to experience in addition to tube slides. A huge bonus to the park is the adults only pool called Private Domain. This is a calm area where adults can hang out in peace. This is a bonus that some parks are missing and I love that its a option here.

There are a couple places to grab food. You can grab burgers, fries, chicken tenders and more. There is a bar equipped to make you some cocktails to keep you cool. And of course you can grab some sweet treats like ice cream, dippin dots, funnel cake and more.

Looking for privacy? Island H20 offers Cabana rentals. There are a few different types available with varying in price. They all come with unlimited bottle water plus in-cabana food & beverage service (you will have to pay for your items separate) which helps avoid standing in line. We were in a standard cabana and we had plenty of space. If you were intrigued by Private Domain the adults only area they have dedicated cabanas in that area as well. We enjoy cabanas as a family because they give us a place to relax with a bit of calm.

Let's talk technology! Now you may be wondering well water and electricity do not mix but they do here. Upon arrival you are given a band to wear while in the park. These reusable bands are returned at the end of your day but great while in the park. You can connect them to the Island H20 app and begin to collect points at various checkpoints and attractions. Once you accumulate a certain amount of points you are able to redeem them for items like ice cream, treats and more. Another bonus is you can use these at the selfie shack and video areas to download your finished product from the app. This means no carrying around a phone which is really convenient. We enjoyed exploring and looking for checkpoints as we ventured through our day.

Tickets to Island H20 start at $64.99 per person. When looking at pricing this is amazing. You can easily spend all day here. If you are a local they offer season passes that are good through their open season. It is for sure great investment for summer time fun. This is your sign to get over to Island H20 before the season ends.

Until our next expedition.....
